Paris is a lovely city, chock-full of cafés, coffeeshops, and boulangeries! It's hard to know where to go, but the best places are ones that locals love, and sneaky tourists like you love to enjoy too.

1. Folks and Sparrows

I honestly don't have enough good things to say about the place. The staff there was incredible. The owner gave me a free postcard, and when he heard I collected stickers, he took my address and vowed to send me a sticker when he had some made. Folks and Sparrows felt like home. Considering sending them a thank you card just for their kindness. That kind of place. Plus, the coffee and the breakfast rocked. Can't go wrong.

2. Visit an Ice Bar

We decided to be adventurous and go to the Kube Ice Bar and freeze our bones! We spent thirty-five euro, and got 25 minutes in an icy igloo bar, and the price includes four mixed vodka drinks. It's a pretty fair deal, and makes for a fun and unusual night!

Ignore the unfortunate photo of me, and look at the fun bar!

3. Have a picnic under the Eiffel Tower

I know it's cliché. I know. BUT WHO CARES. People love to do this for a reason. Because it's Parisian and fun and fulfills all your dreams of what Paris should be. There are little food stands you can get some "frites" from, or you can go to a supermarket and bring your own snacks! Either way, you should make it a point to indulge in this touristy plan!

4. Le Comptoir Général

Ok this place was WILD but in a good way. The first thing I saw when I walked in the door was a couple playing accordion and singing. The place is supposedly "African themed", but I can't really explain its aura. There were tons of little nooks and rooms, all with different color palates, and plants overflowing everywhere, giving it that indoor/outdoor feel. It was decorated so uniquely, with so much attention to detail. A must see. We just stayed for coffee, but supposedly the brunch is superb.
